Comedy Central is reportedly in the process of making a major shift to adult animation, and that has brought an end to one of the network’s long-running, popular shows — Tosh.0.
The show, starring comedian Daniel Tosh, will come to an end on the channel after 12 seasons, but Tosh and ViaCom CBS are reportedly shopping the program to other networks.
Tosh.0, which features Tosh reviewing video clips sent in by users and cracking jokes at their expense, is slated to begin its 12th season on Comedy Central on Sept. 15. The final season will run 10 episodes ending on Nov. 24, Deadline reported.
The network is also ending the seven-season run of Drunk History.
Deadline said Comedy Central renewed Tosh.0 a four-season renewal in January that would have taken the show to the 16-season mark. As is, Tosh.0 will run for 300 episodes on the network.
According to the report, Comedy Central is focusing on building its adult animation lineup around South Park and will offer reboots of Beavis and Butt-Head and The Ren and Stimpy Show.
