INTERNET SECURITY FIRM: "1-2-3-4-5-6" IS MOST COMMON ONLINE PASSWORD
(CNN) – Are people seriously still using “123456” as a password? Indeed, they are!
According to the internet security company NordPass, which released the list of most popular passwords.
The most common one is “123456.”
The second most-popular is along the same lines, but the numbers go from one to nine.
Other passwords in the top 20 include “picture1,” “password,” “qwerty,” “abc123,” “million2,” and “iloveyou.”
Other predictable combinations that are popular “111111” and “123123.”
If your password is among the top 200, NordPass cybersecurity expert Chad Hammond encourages you to change it immediately.
Especially if it’s “123456” Hammond says that password has been breached over 23 million times.
