When it comes to buying your little ones gifts for the holidays, it can be quite the task with so many options on the market! It seems like every month of the year, there are dozens of new shows, movies and characters debuting with corresponding toys — all of which your child has probably already decided whether or not they like or not.
It can be hard to know which direction to go in, so when in doubt, go with what is popular! The New York Post chatted with Juli Lennett, U.S. Toys Industry Advisor on behalf of NPD (a Market Research Group) to get the lowdown on what toys, games and brands have been hot picks in the United States over the last year. Lennett also gave The Post insight of what toys and brands she thinks will be most adored the most by kids in the 2021 holiday season.
That being said, you know your child best! “Popular toys are in the eyes of the beholder,” said Lennett. “The great thing about the toy industry is that there are over 50,000 different toys sold each week — there truly is something for [every child].”
“My advice to parents is to listen to what their kids want or need,” Lennett added.
