Popular burger chain Shake Shack opening at Valley Fair - Cupertino Today

Good news has been hard to find during the COVID-19 pandemic, but a new light is coming to the region.

New York-based Shake Shack is set to open up at Westfield Valley Fair, 2855 Stevens Creek Blvd., this week. It will be the fifth in the region following locations in Palo Alto, Marin County, San Mateo’s Hillsdale Shopping Center, and Cow Hollow in San Francisco.

The burger chain, famous in part for their signature crinkle fries, will feature some California-specific menu items. That includes a ‘Valley Fair Sunrise’ concrete – the chain’s take on a milkshake – with vanilla custard, strawberry puree, lemon curd, and granola.

Normal hours run 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

The company’s announcement says it will donate 5% of sales from the from the ‘Pie Oh My’ concrete. The beneficiary is La Cocina, a San Francisco-based non-profit that aids food entrepreneurs, including women and people of color.

According to the Mercury News, Shake Shack will donate meals to local Boys and Girls Clubs for opening day orders.
