Chapel Hill library's popular book sale now virtual - WRAL.com

— The COVID-19 pandemic shut down Chapel Hill Public Library's popular book sale, but now it's gone virtual.

Friends of the Chapel Hill Public Library, a nonprofit that supports the library, organizes the Friends Book Store inside the library and special sale events throughout the year.

Now, the group has an online bookstore where readers can choose from a selection of books for all ages, games and puzzles. According to an email from the town, the store has more than 2,000 items.

For kids, you'll find everything from picture books to young adult, including "book bundles" that bundle up several books from the same series. Prices range between $3 and $5 for individual children's books. There's also a broad selection of fiction and nonfiction books for adults (and some book bundles for them too).

Shoppers can order via the Friend site and pay online. From there, they'll get an email when their order is ready. To pick up books, you'll need to go to the library during special pickup times on Wednesday and Saturday.

Check out the Friends Online Book Store for more information. As always, library sales are a great and affordable way to stock up on books.
