Mookie Betts and Cody Bellinger have the two most popular player jerseys in Major League Baseball heading into Opening Day, according to a list released Wednesday by MLB and the MLB Players Association.
The Dodgers are well-represented on that list, with Betts ranking first, Bellinger ranking second, Clayton Kershaw ranking fifth and Corey Seager ranking 13th. Former Dodger Kiké Hernández is also ninth on the list.
The list tallied sales from MLBShop.com of Nike player jerseys since the end of the 2020 World Series. Betts is the first National League player to top the list in consecutive years. He’s also the only player to secure a top-five spot on the list in both the National League and American League.
Betts, Bellinger, Fernando Tatis Jr., Bryce Harper and Kershaw comprise the top five jersey sales, in that order. Here’s the top 20 list of most popular MLB jerseys entering the 2021 season:
