The list of Colorado’s most popular baby names for 2020 is out — and it looks similar to the list of top baby names for the rest of the country. In 2020 more babies were named Olivia and Liam than anything else.
According to data from Social Security card applications Noah, Emma, Oliver and Ava were some of the top baby names across the country. Here’s how they looked in Colorado.
Top 10 female baby names in Colorado (how many children born with that name:)

- Charlotte 278
- Emma 255
- Sophia 221
- Amelia 203
- Evelyn 188
- Isabella 184
- Ava 182
- Mia 166
- Harper 156
Colorado and the country had the same 10 most popular names for female babies, with the order differing a bit. Elizabeth and Margaret remain high in the ranks, perhaps due to British royalty or The Crown fans.

- Theodore 228

Nolan was the 29th most given boy’s name in Colorado, with 136 kids given that name, perhaps driven by the popularity of former Rockies third baseman Nolan Arenado. Nationally, Nolan ranked as the 61st most popular boy’s name. Arenado was traded this winter to St. Louis.
