SHERMAN OAKS (CBSLA) — A gunman opened fire in Sherman Oaks, shooting three people outside of a popular sports bar, authorities said.
More than a dozen shots were fired during the incident, which unfolded around 1:30 a.m. at The Woodman in the 13600 block of Ventura Boulevard on Sunday.
READ MORE: Firefighters Battle Towsley Fire In Stevenson RanchInvestigators said a dispute started inside the bar. A short time later, someone outside opened fire, and a second person did as well. Investigators have found evidence of two guns being used.
“I can’t even digest it,” said Marisa Morales, a neighbor. “This is where I live and where I raise my children.”

One person was detained overnight but has been released. A search continues for two suspected gunmen.
Gunfire is becoming too common on LA streets. Michel Moore, the LAPD police chief, reported that there have been more than 450 victims of shootings so far this year—a 70 percent increase from the same time period last year.
