Political masks are always popular around Halloween time but especially during an election year.
Owner of the Halloween Express stores in Brookfield and LaCrosse Robb Heilmann has worked in the business for 15 years. He tells WMTJ that the President Trump mask is among the most popular.
“Trump probably has to be #1 just because of being controversial. Either they love him or they don’t. I’d say he’s probably been the best seller over the years. Obama did very well and Hillary did very well,” said Heilmann.
He admits it’s been an odd year with many trick or treating festivities being either up-in-the-air or canceled because of the coronavirus. But Heilmann has noticed a trend when it comes to Halloween decorations.
“People are doing a lot of decorating. My decorations are getting picked over pretty quickly. I’ve tried to place some orders but even my vendors are starting to run out of things,” Heilmann said.
