Under her arm was the quintessential noughties accessory: a shoulder bag, specifically a monogrammed “Ghost Sling” bag by Balenciaga.
In this image, Hadid reminds me of a popular girl in a suburban highschool—the one with good but tame taste and an eye for affordable designer labels. After all, Polo Jeans, a now-defunct faction by Ralph Lauren, wouldn’t break the bank. It was discontinued in 2006, but judging by the revival of other ’00s powerhouse mall brands, and the fact that Ms. Hadid wore it, Polo Jeans will enjoy a boost in popularity soon.
