Oregon’s state parks are as popular as ever, but there are some that remain especially busy.
That's true of the most popular state park sites from 2019, almost all of which appeared on the list of most popular parks in 2018. In fact, aside from some slight reshuffling, this year's list is almost identical to the last.
These numbers are only looking at the day-use visitors to each park – overnight camping is counted separately. The data is collected by counting the number of vehicles that enter the park and using an established average number of visitors per vehicle.
What the list seems to show is a steady dedication to certain park sites among Oregon travelers. Whether it’s the family vacation spot, the annual rock climbing destination or the go-to beach getaway, these state parks have become firmly ensconced within our hearts.
