Raleigh, N.C. — When it was first announced that life-sized animatronic dinosaurs would be coming to Raleigh this month, the announcement was met with immense enthusiasm from the community.
Due to popular demand, Dino Safari announced Saturday that they would add additional ticket blocks and extend their hours of operation to provide for the huge demand by excited Triangle residents.
This all-new, COVID-safe, drive-thru experience will be at the N. C. State Fairgrounds. It opens this Thursday for ten days only. Reservations are underway, and tickets are quickly becoming extinct – or rather, selling out!
Dino Safari will have more than 40 gigantic moving dinosaurs, and allow families to get up-close-and-personal with a life-sized T-Rex and Spinosaurus.
Life-sized dinosaurs have a history of extreme popularity in Raleigh
Back in the 1960s, another famous exhibit of enormous, life-sized dinosaurs visited Raleigh.
When the Sinclair dinosaur exhibit Dino Land came to North Hills, over 200,000 people crowded the parking lot.
Anyone who attended that iconic event still remembers the experience, and it's become a piece of Raleigh history.
It seems like the modern Dino Safari has potential to become equally iconic, historic and memorable.
