The collection was built up from a hand-sketched logo pulled from Fendi’s archives by the widely-known fashion illustrator Antonio Lopez. Jones wanted to include his art, which is centered around the ideologies of liberation and inclusivity, in this modern collection. Lopez’s art takes on a life of its own in the collection, as handbags stand in as his own personal canvasses and many of the prints and patterns gracing elegant silk kaftans and blouses incorporate his signature brushstrokes.
The collection showcases collared outerwear, billowing trousers, jackets consisting of fluffy feathers, bright frocks, and whimsical accessories ranging from enamel hair clips to a new twist on the Fendi First heel. The fun essence of each piece truly captures the celebratory feel that Jones was trying to achieve.
